HV RS Series
10-60 HP Rotary Vane Variable Speed
Description: HVSeries.bmp

The Hydrovane, HV RS Series is a fully enclosed, variable speed, rotary vane air compressor. Air compressor users need an affordable, dependable, energy efficient, quiet and easy to maintain unit such as the Hydrovane HV RS Series.

When to use a variable speed drive compressor:

Zabatt understands not every air system can benefit from a variable speed air compressor.  However, where there are installations that are only utilizing 40% to 75% of full load capacity of the air compressor, a variable speed drive compressor could save up to 50% in energy.

Hydrovane Drive

Hydrovane uses a variable speed drive to speed up and slow down to match air supply to air demand as it fluctuates. The HV RS drive has the best turndown in its range.

Precise Pressure

A Hydrovane HV RS air compressor precisely controls system pressure +/- 2 PSIG using the S1 control system which controls the motor speed.  Having precise control will eliminate the need to over-pressurize in order to meet the minimum desired pressure in the plant.  This will result into significant energy savings through minimization of leaks and BHP savings.

EMI Filter

A Hydrovane HV RS air compressor is designed with an electromagnetic interference filter that eliminates feedback and prevents harmonic distortion from entering the facilities electric grid.

Soft Start

Power companies are requesting that all motors of 25 HP be equipped with a soft start.  Hydrovane offers a “soft rise” in motor starting current from zero to load without current spikes or excess heat rise.  A soft start will allow for unlimited motor starts. Having a soft start will also help with avoidance of power factor penalties.
